I have a Kindergartener right now who is beginning to read. Yes, I was taught this rule when in school and I have passed on the learning torch and have been using it in our homeschool too! No wonder why my oldest cannot spell. LOL
“When Two Vowels Go Walking, The First One Does the Talking” – is false 60% of the time. Wow! I had no idea, did you?
I really wish I would have started my high schooler out with All About Spelling, maybe she would be a better speller today. Click here to read more about this rule and why is proves false more often than not.
