Are you looking for ideas to study animals with your kids? Happy Homeschool Nest has created an 18-week lesson plan that covers the basics of classification and animal observation.

It’s just the right fit for kindergarten to 3rd grade students. They will learn all about classifying different animals and do some dissection work with a clam, fish, and an owl pellet (you can always add more if you like!). You’ll do some fun project and learn to observe animals and chart observations and record experiments. The lesson plans are free, you’ll just need to get some books and supplies and dive right in! It’s a fun way to introduce animal study to your kindergarten to 3rd grade students.
