North Star Geography – New for Junior High and High School!

Geography has always been one of my daughter’s favorite subjects. I have endlessly searched for a Word Geography Curriculum for High School that would be a good fit. Well, I found it….and published by Bright Ideas Press, publishers of our favorite – Mystery of History!

North Star Geography homeschool curriculum

North Star Geograhy is a year-long course for junior and high school students. Written from a distinctly Christian perspective, North Star Geography is a full high school credit that covers:

  • Geography Skills – such as reading maps and navigation
  • Physical Geography – the lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere
  • Human Geography – social structures, culture and heritage, interacting with the environment

This curriculum includes:

  • Hands-on activities and projects
  • Map work, memorization, and geographic research questions (with answers!)
  • Quizzes, a final exam, answer keys, and a grading rubric
  • Reproducible outline and reference maps, note-taking pages, and graphic organizers
