Chores!

We all know kids need to do them. There are so many reasons to make sure your kids are doing their part around the house. And, dear Momma, I know it can be hard to keep them (and you!) motivated. Sometimes it’s just simpler to do it yourself. But don’t let yourself take that easy way out! (And you’ll thank me when your 9 year old voluntarily washes the dishes in your sink before you ask her, just because she likes to do it!)

Systems

I don’t know about you, but I have found that our chore systems are best when we switch them up every few months in some way. The newness and fun of the system makes chore time much more enjoyable for everyone and honestly, it’s the best thing to keep ME motivated as the Mom in Charge.

A FREE System For You:

Little Learning Lovies has a few different chore systems to share with you today. One of them we’re going to give you completely for free. And, conveniently enough, when you “buy” the free one, you’ll be able to get a second system for 50% off! Let’s take a look at them.

For 4-8 year olds

ChoreCards

I
LOVE these cards! They are simple to use and a great way to keep track of what
chores have been done. All you need to do is print them, laminate them so they
last and grab a wet or dry erase marker. As chores are completed, use the marker
to check it off.

This set conveniently includes some blank card so you can add chores that fit
YOUR family and schedules…

For Everyone In The House (Teens Included)

ChoreCardSystem_LLL

We
have another system at the Little Learning Lovies Store that will easily grow
up with your whole family and can even motivate mom and dad to get a few things
checked off the to-do list!

We call this our “Please And Thank You” Chore System because it is set up as requests,
not demands (which I think is important for us parents to remember!). Each chore
is put on a “Please” card and pinned to a bulletin board with a “Thank You” card
behind it.

You can write a reward on each Thank You card and kids automatically
earn that reward when a parent inspects their finished chore.

The set includes complete instructions as well as reward ideas. For teens, you
can pin money right to the board with the chore and they are immediately paid
once their chore is done.

This chore system is 50% off if you buy it when you get your FREE chore cards.
That means it will only cost $1.75 to make chore time a breeze!
